[#Bonus] For this week's Innovation Summer Book on the theme of #generativeAI, we've put together a bonus for you! AI by McKinsey has just published its new annual report, "𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗜 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯: 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗜'𝘀 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿". In one sentence, 𝗠𝗰𝗞𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗲𝘆'𝘀 𝗔𝗜 𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 finds that gen AI is already widespread. As you will see on the report, the key messages are: • It's still early days, but the use of 𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗜 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 • Leading companies are already 𝗮𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗜 • AI-related talent 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁, and AI's workforce effects are expected to be substantial • With all eyes on gen AI, 𝗔𝗜 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 McKinsey is no stranger to generative artificial intelligence (gen AI), as they stated that around half of the global consulting giant's employees were said to be using the technology as of earlier this summer. And according to their report, one-third of organizations use gen AI regularly in at least one business function. Incredible, isn't it?
