JOB DESCRIPTION Buyer/Accounts Payable Employment –Full Time Under supervision from the President and Director of QA/QC-Supply Chain, provide the purchasing of all materials and supplies required to manufacture and package dietary supplements: Use Material Order Report (MOR) to determinate which and what quantity of material to order. Flow of materials must be without interruption Purchase quality materials cost effectively Take into account inventory levels, lead time, cost, transit time, freight costs, preferred vendors, credit terms, supply and demand and cash flow Track all PO's for on time delivery and communicate to all parties effected - open PO report Interface with Operations, QA/QC, Product Development, Materials Management and Accounting. Provide strong negotiating skills, attention to detail, work in a fast-paced environment Logistics- Set up pick-ups for incoming and outgoing freight Strong computer skills - Excel and QuickBooks Additional required skills: High School, college diploma or general education degree Good negotiating skills Maintain records accurately and neatly Good organizational skills, thorough, attention to detail Must be able to read, write and speak English 1-3 yrs. experience minimum COMMAND Nutritionals, LLC is a leading contract manufacturer specializing in powdered nutritional supplements. The Buyer/Accounts Payable position requires experience in a manufacturing environment and a good understanding of supply chain management; capable of processing purchase orders from Purchasing Department through invoice payment.
