Thrilled to share my incredible summer journey as an UberSTAR Software Engineering Intern with Uber! This internship has been an amazing experience filled with valuable learning moments. Working on the Michelangelo Machine Learning Team was an absolute highlight, and I couldn't have asked for better guidance from my manager Sally (Mihyoung) Lee and mentor Yeqing Lu. Forming strong bonds with both my teammates and fellow interns was an unexpected bonus. Uber's inclusive and accepting environment truly resonated with me. Embracing authenticity is the norm here. The perfect balance between work and life, along with the exceptional work culture, places Uber at the pinnacle. 33 ambulances have been purchased, thanks to contributions from Uber and their riders and drivers from all over the world! Last December, Uber, together with UNITED24, launched the Keep Ukraine Moving fundraiser for ambulances. As part of the campaign, the Uber for Ukraine trip option was created, allowing passengers in 19 countries to choose a ride on Uber, with 1 euro from each ride going towards an ambulance. Over $3,500,000 was collected in six months from rider donations and Uber's own contributions. Ambulances purchased with these funds are already working at hospitals in Zaporizhzhia, Poltava and Khmelnytskyi oblasts. Thanks to our regular partner Uber!
