About us

YouTube is a team-oriented, creative workplace where every single employee has a voice in the choices we make and the features we implement. We work together in small teams to design, develop, and roll out key features and products in very short time frames. Which means something you write today could be seen by millions of viewers tomorrow. And even though we’re a part of Google and enjoy all of the corporate perks, it still feels like you’re working at a startup. YouTube is headquartered in San Bruno, California, 12 miles south of San Francisco. We also have many job openings in Mountain View, and across the globe

In Australia, NAIDOC Week is a time to celebrate and recognise the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. For NAIDOC Week 2023, we collaborated with First Nations artist Molly Hunt, a proud Balanggarra and Yolngu woman, to create artwork celebrating the history of First Nations people and artists. 🎨 Music is an important part of Molly’s process when illustrating, and she loves listening to RnB and synth-pop to bring her artwork to life. Listen to talented Indigenous artists like King Stingray, Tia Gostelow, and Sycco right here → https://lnkd.in/gJ8btrFt #NAIDOCWeek

According to research by Oxford Economics, YouTube’s creative ecosystem contributed over A$890M to Australia’s GDP and supported the equivalent of more than 15,000 full-time jobs in 2022. At the recent Google at Parliament House event, we celebrated Australia’s thriving creator economy in the company of #creators, small-business owners and artists like The Norris Nuts family, Tibees’ Toby Hendy, and Sunny Beatson of BeaDoughs Donuts. The event ended on a high note with Yolŋu surf rock band King Stingray performing their much-loved tracks including ‘Milkumana’ and ‘Lupa’ — celebrating the rich tapestry of Indigenous culture and music. 🌐 Safety is foundational to Google’s products and platforms. 🤝 As India advances toward becoming a trillion-dollar digital economy, we continue to deepen our commitment to helping Indians stay safe online. We are excited to join hands with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) on the ‘G20-Stay Safe Online’ Campaign to drive cyber safety awareness in India. As a part of this, we are expanding the #HitPause program - YouTube’s digital literacy efforts to educate people on how to evaluate and share online information. ✨Through a series of educational videos featuring YouTube creators from India, ‘Hit Pause’ aims to equip and empower Indians on the internet with specific skills to spot and evaluate misinformation and responsibly share information online. Watch this space, as we roll out the educational video series in the coming days.
