Who's viewed your profile visibility settings

Last updated: 4 weeks ago

There are three ways we show information on Who's Viewed Your Profile. Based on the profile viewer's privacy settings, you'll see one of these:

  • Your name and headline - The viewer's name, headline, location, and industry.

  • Private profile characteristics -The viewer's semi-private profile characteristics such as job title, company, school, and industry. We might vary the information we show to protect members' privacy (for example, VP of Marketing in Internet Industry, Student at University of North Carolina, Someone at Accenture).

  • Private mode - LinkedIn Member. These are members who have viewed your profile and chose to use complete private mode in their privacy settings.

You can control who can see if you’ve viewed their profile by updating your profile viewing options from the Settings & Privacy page.

Here's a tip

Notes:
  • If a member viewed your profile prior to any blocking, they'll still appear in your profile viewer count, but their details won't be reflected in the viewer details. Once a member is blocked, they won’t be able to view your profile.

  • You can't view the names of members who've chosen to view your profile in private mode, even if you have a Premium account.
  • If you have a Basic (free) account, you must choose Your name and headline if you want to see the viewer history on your own Who's Viewed Your Profile page.
