Course introduction
(logo chimes) - Welcome to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure 2023. Architect Associate Course. This course is designed specifically for you to start learning Oracle Cloud infrastructure, and become well-versed in OCI Solution Architecture. My name is Samvit Mishra, and I'm a Senior Principal Training Lead, and Evangelist at Oracle University, and we have an incredible team that has collaborated to bring you this course. In addition to me, you'll hear from my colleagues, Rohit Rahi. Sergio Castro. Tijo Thomas. Saurabh Patil. And Orlando Gentil. This course is designed for audience who would like to architect solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. So that will include cloud professionals, solution architects, and solution design engineers. The course is organized into 22 lessons. Let's take a moment to go through that list. We will start with the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure introduction. We will then dive into the core constructs. My colleagues, Rohit and Saurabh are going to present the next lesson, which is Identity and Access Management. The whole of networking experience is divided into five parts. Virtual cloud network. Connectivity. Load balancer. DNS Management. And Network Command Center Services. These lessons will be presented by Sergio Castro. I will then be covering the next eight lessons on compute, object storage, block storage and file storage. Rohit, Saurabh and Orlando will then discuss the next lesson, which is security and it includes discussion on operations, platform and data security. Finally, Tijo will present the lesson on Observability and Management where you will learn monitoring and logging concepts. We also feature expert tips where you will learn from an expert tips and tricks to succeed as a cloud architect. I would like to acknowledge that this is a lengthy course. I would also like to offer some tips for increasing retention, and giving you the best chance to pass the exam. We suggest that you take notes for anything pertinent but also remember that transcripts are available for every video. Schedule breaks each hour and move around. Don't stay stationary in front of the computer for too long. Make sure to get an OCI free tier account, and get hands-on. This course also features a lot of demonstrations. We recommend you go through them. Complete all the skill check sections of this course. That will help you in reinforcing the concepts learned, and complete the exam preparation course prior to launching the certification exam. I hope you are excited to start the course. Thanks for enrolling. Let's begin.
