Scrapping that huge, overbearing, generic personal profile you have at the top. 2. Getting your best and most tangible achievements front and centre at the top on Page 1. 3. Making the layout really clean and easily digestible for the user and any ATS. 4. Covering just the last 10-15 years in any detail and tailoring to the job requirements. 5. Making it clear what you solve, what you want and who should shortlist you. 6. Keeping to 3 pages max. 7. Presenting your executive skills not entry level skills. 8. Using bullets, some bold text and spacing 9. Reading every line and asking "So What?". You want the CV to be full of scope, scale and tangible outcomes. 10. A candidate was a victim of office politics in a service based company. She got laid off recently even though she had amazing skills. She has experience of 3 years and CTC of 7 LPA. While looking for a new job, she was trying to justify the reason of her recent layoff, but no recruiter believed her. After applying to many companies, all recruiters were taking advantage of her unemployability, and offering her very less CTC. One recruiter even offered her 6 LPA which is less than her current CTC. I helped her with some referrals and gave tips on how to negotiate the salary and ask what she truly deserves. Now she got multiple offers including 17 LPA 🎉 So many people reached out to me after getting laid off and I know the pain and challenges that they have to face to get a new job. Recruiters shouldn't take advantage if a candidate is unemployed. Overhead is fuel. Not fluff. Overhead is a virtue. Not a vice. Overhead is pivotal. Not peripheral. Overhead is operational. Not optional. Overhead is dynamite. Not deadweight. Overhead is investment. Not indulgence. Because the right overhead 𝘤𝘢𝘯 make ’a lousy charity good.’ So here are 33 essentials worth funding: Brand Salaries Technology Fundraising Recruitment Infrastructure Mental health Staff retention Theory of change Spiritual wellbeing Legal consultation Strategic planning Employee benefits Risk management Contingency funds Positioning strategy Succession planning Organizational culture Advocacy and lobbying Team-building activities Equipment and supplies Innovation and research Leadership development Monitoring and evaluation Marketing communications Accessibility enhancements Diversity, equity, and inclusion Intellectual property protection Partnerships and collaborations Financial management systems Ethical standards and compliance Climate and environment initiatives Board development and governance But these critical factors in #nonprofit performance are still underfunded and deprioritized. Somehow they’ve been considered inessential bloat. “The focus on overhead is no longer just annoying, it’s perpetuating inequity and injustice,” says Vu Le at NonprofitAF. 🦄 Unlike some social justice challenges we’re fighting — with no known solutions yet — the overhead myth is a framing, #storytelling, and positioning problem. In other words, a #brand opportunity. Sadly, says Le, nonprofits are one of the biggest drivers of this narrative. “It’s time for a change. Stop furthering the idea that ‘overhead’ is bad. Operating, administrative, and fundraising expenses are necessary for us to do effective work.” In particular, I propose that the “100% to the cause” pitch is the worst offender. It’s a short-term win, but a long-term loss — for you and the sector. It gains you cents but costs you sense. Although #foundations need to evolve too. “Funders and donors, if you are restricting funding and focusing on ‘overhead,’ you are actively preventing nonprofits from doing their work. You are helping to spread the fires of injustice. And at the same time, you are also disenfranchising the organizations led by communities of color and other communities most affected by inequity.” What am I missing from this list of 33 ‘overhead’ essentials? Alpha Particle X-ray Spectrometer (APXS) on the Pragyan rover of the Chandrayaan-3 Lander Mission, developed by PRL Ahmedabad, is working extremely well. It is providing unique observations on elemental composition around the Shiv-Shakti landing site. APXS instrument is best suited for in-situ analysis of the elemental composition of soil and rocks on the surface of planetary bodies having little atmosphere, such as the Moon. APXS observations have discovered the presence of interesting minor elements, including Sulfur, apart from the major expected elements, such as Aluminum, Silicon, Calcium, Iron. Hey #dotNETCommunity! I've seen a lot, especially #junior and #medior l developers, struggle so much with understanding how threading works in .NET. But I believe It's such an important concept especially these days when application become more and more complex. That's why I tried to simplify: .NET has superb threading capabilities that allow us to develop applications that are fast but responsive at the same time. However, With great power comes responsibility. Threading is awesome but not all good things come easy. Navigating this world of concurrent programming needs some deep knowledge on what tools .NET provides for you as well as what challenges may be faced along the way. Annnnnnnd...action! Work is now underway at all of our sites after we started work at the Sydney Metro precast facility at Eastern Creek. This is where we'll be producing the 16,320 concrete precast segments which are used to line the 3.5km twin tunnels. The tunnel boring machines have a mechanical system which lifts and installs concrete lining segments as the machine moves along the route from The Bays to Hunter Street.
